SIZING...
These logs are between 28cm - 30cm (LARGE) or 33cm - 35cm (EXTRA LARGE) in diameter, and all 3cm thick. The variation in diameter refers to the overall variation... we can't offer specific dimensions within the size bracket you choose, as each log is wonderfully unique.
See photos for a rough guide on how differing sizes of cakes fit onto logs. The space for the cake will vary ever so slightly based on your log size and the length of your personalisation. Since these cake logs are made from real wood, they vary slightly in size, shape and grain. We encourage everyone to embrace the uniqueness and beauty of the wood.
If you're in doubt about your cake fitting... go a size up!
THE WOOD...
Paulownia wood is very light, fine-grained, and warp-resistant; it's the lightest to strongest ratio wood species in the world, so although very light, it can do a heavy-duty job better than most other log slices.
Paulownia wood is odorless, naturally resistant to fire, salt water, termites, decay and rot; so won't imbibe any nasty flavouring into a cake. We've spent a long researching the best wood for this job, and we're confident that this is the best around.
Weight not does equal quality...this is a heroic wood and is perfect for cake use. It's lighty but mighty!

These log slices have been sustainably sourced and kiln dried, and are suitable for food use.
Returns Policy
If you're not happy, we're not happy! We gladly accept returns within 14 days of delivery of non-customised and non-personalised items. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item isn't returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Shipping Info
Everything we sell is handmade to order, so the time to make your order is normally 3 - 5 business days. We are based in the UK.
At checkout we offer Pickup (for NI Customers), Standard Shipping and Tracked Shipping; please note that Standard Shipping doesn't come with tracking information. We offer Standard Shipping as an option as it has the lowest carbon footprint of all shipping services and want to take every opportunity to be as kind to the environment as we can.
If you are in a rush for an order, please do get in touch with us before ordering to see if we can work with your timeframe.
